[asking of name]

When I asked for your name I did not know that questions have force-full answers,

I was yet to comprehend the power in knowing a name

the powerlessness in being swelled by that which introduces being

or the powerful-ness; it is hard to tell

I was still in the pre-knowing-you era and was unaware,

looking-back-kind-of-ridiculously unaware,

of the way your name would swell and burst into a thousand glorious forms

Versions upon the other upon the other of selves

each shining and dimming and shining and warming the heart.

When I asked for your name, I admit, I was on the verge of being awoken

and when you mentioned it, made it to being by soft utterance,

the million songs of soft and sound rose to reach the mind

swirling with heat high, landing as if by design, as if providence willed it,

On a life that was on the verge of everything.
